Over 20 puppy breeds. They also had bunnies, ferrets, and several exotic birds. They were pricey but had packages convenient for first-time pet owners with financing available. Would have preferred to see more large-breed dogs, as we are large dog people but sounds like they get new puppies every week.

Yesterday was my daughters’ and I first experience at Petland of Dalton. Hands down my favorite pet store! The store was impressively clean and the staff was the best! Sarai & Lexus greeted us when we first walked in and continuously provided awesome service. We loved chatting with them and getting some hands on time with the animals. They know a lot about each animal that comes through, able to describe their personalities that will best fit our family, and provide the plans and after care of each pet. You can tell they really care about the animals and the families coming in. I would 100% recommend this store! Great experience and we will be back!

I bought 2 parakeets there and the girl who helped me was very pleasant. She helped me catch several different birds before I decided on the 2 that I wanted to take home.

If you are thinking about visiting PetLand, here is my honest experience told from a daughter who simply wanted to surprise her parents with a sweet just because puppy and somehow ended up on a mini road trip adventure. My parents and I first stopped at the Rome Georgia PetLand hoping to find a small pup. They did not have what we were looking for, but Lexi was a complete blessing in customer service form. Instead of giving us that sympathetic head tilt and sending us on our way, she took it upon herself to call the Dalton store. She wanted to make sure we were not driving all over Georgia on nothing but hope. Sure enough, the Dalton location had exactly the kind of puppy we were looking for, so off we went for almost an hour, snacks packed, hearts hopeful, and spirits high. When we arrived at the Dalton store, we were greeted by Lexis and Jassy who were kind, patient, and clearly dedicated to their work. Jassy brought out the tiniest and most adorable black puppy I had ever seen. She was so cute we had to pause for a moment just to emotionally recover. Now the price tag did make my bank account sit up straight like it had something important to announce, but I already expected pet store pricing to be steep, so I handled it with a smile and a deep breath. The professionalism in this store truly impressed us. Each time we met a puppy, we were taken into a freshly sanitized room that was cleaned before and after our visit. It felt like these puppies were VIP guests staying at a luxury hotel. As a family that values cleanliness and proper care, this stood out immediately. Lexis made a genuine effort to work with me and explore options that might help us make the puppy ours. She was supportive without being pushy, which we really appreciated. Even though I could not make it work financially at the time, we left feeling respected, informed, and treated with kindness from start to finish. My mother just lost her Cavaliers King Charles by having to have him put down. She went in and bought Pecan a beautiful Ruby cavalier King Charles. Stephanie was great and the puppy is very good and healthy. Thank you to Stephanie and the staff at Rome . If you are interested in a puppy I recommend Stephanie. She was awesome.

The staff at this store were such a help in getting my schnauzer. After almost getting scammed, it was such a relief to be able to speak with someone on the phone and then go and see the actual puppy I was getting. Theo is healthy and the staff helped me get all of things I didn’t even know I would need. I’m super ecstatic to add him to our family.

Here is Dream ☁️ Thank you to Emory, Kate and all the other girls at the store they were all sooo sweet to us!!! Emory did such a good job at her job and her telling us it’s her first Job and has been there several weeks it amazed me how good she is with her job and the love she has for it. She was so great especially convincing my hubby for us to get the bunny (it was funny 🤭) she really is a sweet heart and i can see she is trying her best at her job. This is my first bunny bought at petland, i have bought manyyyy fishes there and have turned out amazing. We just visited this petshop on the way home from Florida to Kentucky. We didn't purchase a puppy, but we stayed long enough to be able to give a review. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with warmth and friendliness! We were told to "Let us know if y'all want to play with any of the puppies!!!" My children were delighted!!! The facility was clean and the animals seemed happy and well cared for!!! I was so impressed that I really wanted to write them a review. I did let one of the employees there know about the awful reviews I read about their store and was very cautious coming in. But all of my reserve vanished as I experienced the atmosphere and costumer service first-hand. If you're looking for well-cared for and healthy, happy puppies, and are in the area, look no further!!! 🥰

Gotten wonderful birds there that are hand tamed and raised by the management team They have a wonderful bird section in their store for toys and food. Pups are pricey, but I’ve gotten a couple there that have been SUPER! Wouldn’t trade them for the world. LOVE THEM 🥰
